IT Development Lifecycle

Discovery and Analysis

We make use of industry best-of-breed analysis tools to build a picture of the current I.T. environment. This may include network device discovery and inventory, server capacity utilisation, network capacity utilisation, storage utilisation, an examination of the current architecture as well as building an understanding of current I.T. policies.

Goal Identification

We establish key business drivers and I.T. objectives with you, working towards a set of key performance indicators that may be used to measure improvement resulting from the I.T. initiative. Every business has different priorities and constraints. So, whether it's a strategic enablement initiative or an incremental improvement in IT effectiveness, we can assist in formalising the goals.

Solution Options

Arcus Technology has considerable experience of the different technologies, vendors, product ranges, and architectural approaches that may apply, particularly for virtualization of servers, storage, networks and desktops. However, particularly for larger, more complex programmes, optimisation may only be achievable by conducting trials of potential options and deciding based upon the outcomes.

Proposal

Our recommended way forward will address the business requirements and programme objectives such as ROI, payback hurdles and specific capability enhancements that have been identified by the client. We outline a technical solution, architecture, and delivery programme to meet the requirement.

Detailed Design

Depending on the scale of the project and the level of formality required by the customer, Arcus Technology can design a point solution or, on a more holistic basis, include wider systems integration aspects.

Implementation

This includes the procurement, deployment and configuring of the solution against the timescales agreed with our client. Arcus Technology uses well established project management tools and practices that match the complexity of the project.

Post-delivery Support

Arcus provides standard support for point solutions, enhanced support where requested with a more extensive service level agreement (SLA), and a number of managed hosted services, again with comprehensive SLAs.
