We are at your service!
…as a Service, or …aaS. This terminology has become much more prevalent in the IT world over recent years. But what exactly does it mean? You have probably heard of Software as a Service (SaaS) which is now very commonplace, and simply means software delivered from the cloud, rather than installed locally on servers or individual user devices. So how does that translate to ‘Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)’? Well, what we are specifically referring to here is ‘server infrastructure’ – we deliver it virtually from the cloud as opposed to installing cap-ex heavy and often bulky hardware within your working environment.
Depending on the size and nature of your business, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) can be a very useful option. Unlike relatively basic cloud storage options, like OneDrive or Google Docs, IaaS delivers a much more enterprise environment with increased management and security options. Just like traditional ‘on-premise’ server infrastructure, IaaS allows various servers to be deployed within a single domain to manage different intensities of workloads or software applications most effectively – allowing your business to continue running smoothly and efficiently, wherever you are!
Like all cloud services, IaaS is flexible on demand infrastructure, easily scaled up or down, usually paid for on a subscription model with minimal capital expenditure required.
